We host Wellness Wednesdays, a series centered on empowering tribal citizens to improve their overall personal wellness. Everyone is welcome to join these live webinars. Our website and Tlingit & Haida's Facebook page lists what's coming up.
Once our team receives a referral, we staff each case to ensure they’re properly paired with a provider that can hold sacred space for healing. We encourage our participants to be self-advocates when, or if healing is not taking place within treatment; at which time we can reassign and do a warm hand-off to a new healer.
Absolutely, we encourage participants to bring loved ones along on their healing journey.
Currently, the Healing Center does not offer medication management. In the future, we’ll offer tele-psychiatry for case consultation.

It is a platform for individuals to explore their own experiences pertaining to topic matter (e.g., origins of addiction, adverse childhood experiences, suicide) and additional resources are offered for those who choose to take a deeper dive into each topic. Learn more about Culture Heals and get started today.
Culture Heals™ includes access to free monthly webinars. Learn about emerging research in addiction, getting started using Culture Heals, indigenous healing practices, help for a loved one struggling with addiction, and more. The on-demand webinar library lets you listen and learn anytime at your convenience.
Services for individual and group counseling are limited pending on your geographic location due to state licensing restrictions for therapists. Our Healers are licensed to practice in the state of Alaska. However, if you are in need of behavioral services and struggling to find support where you are living, please contact us at 907-463-7305 during normal business hours and we will be happy to assist, including helping our tribal citizens living far from home to locate culturally responsive services in their respective area.
All visitors of this website have access to the recorded Wellness Wednesday sessions and eventually to our Culture Heals: Online Addiction Help coming soon! This online resource will be available to all 33k plus tribal citizens opening the doors to healing themselves. It will be paired with a 365/24/7 crisis call center who will work closely with our CBS Healing Center staff so that we can call tribal citizens back to determine their needs and offer support.
